"After two days of hard fishing on our own with very limited success, we met our guide Heath at the Lake Fork Marina Store (which by the way is the best place to stay, eat and buy your lures, they've got what you need and it is very reasonable.) We had talked to a lot of other fisherman that were there and no one was catching anything. Needless to say we weren't to optimistic, especially since there were 25mph winds and lake wind advisories that day. Within 5 minutes of getting in Heath's boat, I knew we were going to have a good day. Heath took the time to show me his electronics and teach me in a way I could understand, I could tell that Heath had done his homework and knew what he was doing. Within the next 5 minutes we were in some of the best looking water I had ever seen. There were times when there were boats all around and we were the only ones pulling in fish. Judging by the harsh weather and the very finicky bite, we would have surely been skunked if Heath hadn't been there. Between my dad and I, we have a combined fishing experience of over 85 years, But, we both learned some invaluable tips that will truly make us better fishermen. Thank you Heath, you are the Superstar!"

Re: Who is a great guide on LAKE FORK?
Heath Hardwick- Went with him last year and had a ball. He let's you fish, doesn't give you a tour of the lake. Give him a shout, he'll set you up. |
